The peak of the Perseids shower in 2024 is on the nights of August 11th and 12th. That's when you'll have the best chance to see the most meteors at an average of 50 appearances in the sky an hour!!!

However, you could have seen a few of them starting as early as mid-July. Luckily, the show goes well into this month. So even if you can't make it on the peak nights, you might still catch some stunning shooting stars!

1. Find a Dark Spot: The key to a great meteor shower viewing is to escape light pollution. Head to a rural area or a park away from city lights.

• Bonus Tip: Check for local stargazing events or astronomy clubs. They often organize viewing parties in ideal locations.

2. Be Patient: Your eyes need about 20-30 minutes to adjust to the darkness. So, get comfortable, relax, and let your eyes acclimate.

3. Look Up: Meteors can appear anywhere in the sky. While the radiant point is in the constellation Perseus, you don't need to stare directly at it.

4. Dress Comfortably: Even in summer, nights can get chilly. Bring a blanket or sleeping bag to stay cozy.

5. Avoid Screens: The light from your phone or other devices can interfere with your night vision. Try to minimize screen time.

6. Use a Meteor Shower App: There are several apps available that can help you locate the constellation Perseus and provide other useful information.

7. Relax and Enjoy: Meteor showers are best enjoyed with a sense of wonder. So, lie back, make a wish, and soak in the cosmic spectacle!

Remember: The Perseids are best viewed in the pre-dawn hours. So, if you're up for a late night (or early morning), you'll likely see more meteors.

Well…. Personally I have never been able to shuffle that magnificent way of dividing a deck in half and then very casually letting them slide/fold into each other while not letting them fly all over the place. I am just not built that way. Would I like to shuffle like that? Absolutely. For a particular reason? Yes. That in all honesty seems to be the easiest on the paper of the cards and keeps things moving along at the most efficient pace.

So does that mean my way is sloppy? Has a negative affect on the reading? NOPE!

One must make sure of course that the cards are fully shuffled in whatever manner you as said Shuffler are comfortable with. NOT ANYONE ELSE! Why? because

1.) the deck goes home with you. so for all intent and purposes that deck belongs to you.

2.) do you want someone’s cooties on your cards? I’m no germaphobe but I know for a fact all the antibacterial in the world will only get rid of Bacteria not a Virus.

3.) if someone insists on pulling their own cards out of your deck at their reading? then tbh that relays a message that they have no faith in your abilities as a professional. —and yes I have actually told people I wouldn’t allow them to handle my deck.
